Hello!
Welcome to From Spring to Sea, my little collection of musings and moments from life as a missionary on a college campus. My name is Morgan, and I hope I have the chance to know yours one day if I don’t already!
Though “missionary” is literally in my job description, I learn a little more every day about what it means to allow the mission of bearing Christ to the world to guide my entire life. Jesus told the disciples they would “be [His] witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8); I have yet to make it to “the ends of the earth,” but I know every encounter with another person is a step along the way!
My own encounter with the immense love of God and the realization that He holds this same love for each and every one of us spurred me to say yes to serving as a missionary with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). I pray that through my yes, others may come to know the truth of their identity as beloved sons and daughters of God.
As a missionary, I have the gift of walking alongside students as we discover together the abundant life that Jesus promises us as His disciples. Stay tuned for stories about the ways the Lord moves in my life and the lives of those around me! Like drops of water make their way from mountain springs to the sea, we’re making our way home to heaven together.
